Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathes his last; notable figures tweet commiserations

India’s former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took his last breath yesterday after fighting with various illnesses for a long time. The leader passed away in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was admitted due to several diseases like kidney tract infectivity and chest clogging. Also, his urine output was reported to be on the lower side two months ago in June. During the last 24 hours of the leader, his state had become grave serious so the doctors had to put him on life support system.

The ex-PM departed this life in the age of 93. He had been india’s prime minister three times and this is the proof of how much he was liked and respected all over india. He also has the honour of being the one and only pm to complete his tenure, not belonging to the Congress party. In 2004, he was granted with the highest civilian award called Bharat Ratna.

Beyond the shadow of the doubt, all of india is weeping over the shortfall of a great politician. The current Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his grief and spoke of the demise as ‘the end of an era’. Besides political figures, many bollywood celebrities are also grieving over the loss.

Actress Dia Mirza quoted one of the sayings of the leader on twitter ‘’let no one challenge india’s secularism’’. She grieved over the demise of a great statesman and leader. Vishal Dadlani tweeted in the ex-PM’s respect that a titan has departed. Actor Vivek Oberoi remembered the late politician in great words saying that he was a true legend and a heighted man beyond physique.
