Superstar Anil Kapoor’s film Fanny Khan didn’t go as we expected. The film saw a terrible start on the box office as trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated. It was only able to bring in 2.15 crore rupees on the ticket windows first day.

The film couldn’t earn much even after. Where ticket windows are crowded on Saturdays and Sundays and weekends are considered as an opportunity to earn big, Fanney Khan couldn’t work there too.

Weekends did not produce much for the Anil Kapoor starrer as it only grossed a mere 7 crore rupees.

Fanney Khan also stars Aishwarya Rai and Rajkumar Rao in pivotal roles. Beside big figures like Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor, the film could not succeed in gathering and attracting a large number of audiences.

Evidently, the viewers were not concerned about what the Fanney Khan actors were presenting. As for the content of the film, it also got much criticised and didn’t receive admiration from audience as well as majority of critics. In the long run, Fanney Khan artists failed to impress the viewers as the film had a stumpy overall response all around.

The Akarsh Khurana direction Kaarwan, which stars Bollywood’s big figure Irrfan Khan in a lead role, also collapsed on the box office. First day proved to be a bad one as the film could only earn Rs 1.5 crore while the weekend showed a grossing better than Fanney Khan.

The first weekend of the film collected 8 crore rupees which is better but still not good as some of the last Irrfan Khan’s films. His previous picture Blackmail raked in 11.2 crore rupees on its first weekend whereas Hindi Medium earned 12.5 crore on the event, which is much better.
