Cate Blanchett, Hollywood super star has refused to have idea about the all sexual abuse allegations on filmmaker Woody Allen when both had been working together on Blue Jasmine (2013). Nevertheless, the actress has received the best actress Oscar for her part in the most-watched comedy drama.
The 48-year-old experienced star was invited on CNN’s Amanpour, hosted by Christiane Amanpour who asked her how she could juxtapose being #MeToo proponent by keeping her mouth shut on director of her Blue Jasmine.
She answered that she doesn’t get the point that she has been keeping her lips closed since a long time, while she had a work experience with Woody Allen, though doesn’t know about the sexual allegations.
Nonetheless, Blanchett believes the situation so hurting and complicated at the time for the family, which she hopes they have the ability to resolve.
However, the daughter of the 82-year-old filmmaker, Dylan Farrow has charged her father with molesting her during her childhood although Allen has refused the allegation. On the other hand, Blanchett has set to support the case being restudied if that was believed to be essential.
One of the most versatile Hollywood female actresses added that if these accusations required to be re-observed then she does believe in the justice system and setting legal precedents. She also has said that if court orders to reopen the investigation then she would be real supporter enthusiastically.
She has come out as current supporter for Allen’s sexual abuse case of his daughter, while before that some other actors as Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page, Mira Sorvinos, Colin Firth and Marion Cotillard.
Nonetheless, the former wife of Woody Allen, Mia Farrow had adopted Dylan in 1985 when she was just two-week old, while a New York City court approved in December 1991 Woody Allen’s application to co-adopt Dylan.
