He released the statement saying that,

“in my opinion it was very easy working with Atif. Although he was travelling for a long while by hen he put his mind to the song it turned out very well. If wanted the track to be carried with heroism which was innocent but it was done perfectly”.

He further added,

“The context in this song is limitless which is beyond life or death or beyond feelings like sadness, cynicism or contempt. The song was about the celebration of love in its true essence. To celebrate the fact that one can be completely immersed in love. That’s the feeling I wanted and that’s what Atif delivered to me”.

The song is for the upcoming film titled “Laila Majnu”.

Joi Barua talking about filmmakers said that,

“Imtiaz Ali and his Brother Sajid Ali have been very appreciative of music so far. We have worked in the past as well. They love my idea of Assamese music. Since three years back when they were working on script of Laila Majnu, they involved me in it too which came as a surprise to me.”

He further added about the theme of movie and the delivery of music in it with words,

“the story of the movie was set in contemporary Kashmir; a place which is alien to me where I never have been before and had not tasted any of its culture. This only meant for me to dive deeper than I had ever known about Kashmir. Like Kashmiris, I am from Northeast India and we are people who understand importance of cultural representation. And this is why filmmakers understood this and involved me in this project”.
