Madhya Pradesh CM finally speaks on the matter after the degraded video of male doctors checking-up female police recruits

The Madhya Pradesh government, that is already ashamed, had to hurry for cover twice this week. Second time was when some reports surfaced about male doctors examining female police employees at a state run hospital.

Reports say that total 217 recruits had their bodies medically examined but the number of female employees is not confirmed so far. The medical check-up was carried out in Bhind, which is 500 km away from the state capital, Bhopal.

The emergence of the video exhibiting a male examiner checking up a female police officer resulted in an extreme ire. Further in the video, we also see two male police officers, who have only their innerwear put on, standing in a row to get medically examined in the same room as the female police officer.

The civil surgeon of the hospital, Dr Ajit Mishra replied to the rumours saying that investigations have been ordered to the team with head Dr DC Jain and that the report will come in a time of three days.

Further Dr Mishra affirmed that a female doctor has been appointed now and much more arrangements have been prepared for a full medical check-up of women officers. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has finally opened up by saying that severe actions will be taken for those who are responsible for such incident.

Santosh Singh, a high police official said that the situation is unacceptable and it must be understood that female officers have to be examined by female doctors only. He further added that the police will have a deep inquiry of the issue and will definitely punish those who are found guilty.
