The reports were first made after the North Korea monitoring site 38 North released a set of photos, captured by the satellite that clearly showed the expansion of a nuclear facility in Yongbyon, amain North Korean city.

Upgrades like the addition of two new buildings as well as the improvement in structure of neighbour buildings can be seen noticeably.

The pictures were uploaded on June 21st, shortly after the historical summit took place in Singapore, between North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un and United States President Donald Trump.

During the Summit, Kim Jong-Un made several statements regarding decreasing the production of nuclear weapons and went as far as to declare a “complete denuclearization of North Korea.”

U.S. President Donald Trump also showed his satisfaction and triumph over achieving something so monumental under his administration and stated in a tweet that North Korea no longer poses a nuclear threat to U.S or any other nation, anymore.

However, despite these claims, analysis reveal that most of the upgrade in the nuclear facility was made between the months of April and June, when the summit was still going on.

During these months, Kim Jong-Unvisited North Korean counterpart, South Korea, to negotiate the resolution of conflicts and also gave people of both countries hopes of reunion, in addition to United States, China and other nations in order to improve relationships with these foreign countries.

But keeping the facts in view, it is clear that North Korea has no intention of giving up its nuclear power and plans to increase it even more in the near future.
