William Leonard Roberts II is professionally known as Rick Ross, the American rapper was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, U.S on January 28, 1976; after graduation from school.

He went on a football scholarship in the historically black college Albany State University, he worked from December 1995 as correctional officer in Florida before entering in music industry and he resigned in June 1997.

Ross made his singing debut through song “Ain’t Shhh to Discuss”, through this rap he got his recognition, he attracted many producers to himself, later he released his first album Port of Miami in 2006 August.

It got the top position at U.S. Billboard 200 album chart and it was one of the best selling albums in that age as it sold in the first week over 187,000 units.

The second album of Rick was released in March 2008, named as Trilla; it got its position at top of US Billboard, the single song from this album “Speedin'” got the 21 position at Billboard I United States of America and he is ranked as one of the best rappers in world.

Many of times the rapper had illegal issues as he was arrested a number of times due to drugs and guns case, he remained the point for media attention, he has made one of most selling albums and till now he has released six studio albums.
