Ever since its release on June 2, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has been setting fire to the cinema houses. Firstly, Sanju entered the 200-crore club in just first week and earned Rs. 92 in the second week.

Now it is all set to cross 300 crore in India. Also, the film made 7 million dollars in America. According to Taran Adarsh’s tweet, the film continues its ‘dream run’.

The movie written by Abhijit Joshi and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is a biopic based on the life story of Bollywood’s hero Sanjay Dutt.

It shows many aspects of Dutt’s life and also highlights his days in prison. Sanju also covers Dutt’s life struggles and his relationship with his father Sunil Dutt.

The movie was greatly welcomed and watched by dozens as it portrays the scandalous journey of Sanjay Dutt.

India’s Chocolate Boy Ranbir Kapoor has done an outstanding job and has portrayed Sanjay’s character very well.

He has also experienced entire appearance changes and all of his hard work finally paid off as Sanju has now stepped in the well-honoured club of 500 crore.

Sanju is just a few steps away in exceeding Deepika Padukone’s Padmavat. The worldwide collection of Padmaavat is Rs. 525 crore.

Sanju holds the fourth position on the list of movies with the largest first week collections. On first is Baahubali 2 with Rs. 246 crore while Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai hold the second and third position respectively.

Besides RanbirKapoor, the film also stars Anushka Sharma, SonamKapoor, Vicky Skills, ManishaKoirala, DiyaMirza, PareshRawal, BomanIrani, Tabu and Anil Mange as important people in Sanjay’s life. Sanju is still running successfully in the cinemas inspite of new releases like Soorma.
