South Korean Moon To Welcome N-Korea’s Kim At Border For Summit

On Friday, South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in has set all to welcome North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as the last crosses a military separation line to come into the South for the first summit between the two surfaces in over a decade, S-Korean media mentioned.


Im Jong-seok, the presidential chief of staf of S-K, told media that South Korean honor guards will be leading the senior leaders from both nations to a greet ceremony at a plaza in Panmunjom, the border village, at that place the summit is to be held.

Kim and Moon will talk about official tasks at 10:30 a.m. at the Peace House in Panmunjom just an hour after N-Korean leader is planned the cross the border at 9:30 a.m. However, the summit is held to pay complete attention on securing of permanent peace and denuclearization.

Jong-seok also added that his nation has prepared their key military officials to the summit to give impressive friendly protocol its guest who will be soon on talk table along with South Korean senior leaders to discuss peace and denuclearization.

However, nine officials, and the North’s nominal head of state, Kim Yong Nam will be at summit with Kim, as well as Kim along with his sister, Kim Yo Jong, who to led delegation to the Winter Olympics in South Korea in February of North Korea.

It is said in latest reports that Kim Yong Chol who is a former intelligence chief and the chairman of a sports panel, Choe Hwi will also join the summit along with senior leaders.
