Zombieland 2; Release Date, Trailer, Plot, Spoilers, Cast

Sony Pictures has officially announced that the sequel for 2009 zombie movie Zombieland is on its way and will feature in theatres in 2019.

Production of the second movie is expected to start in January next year with the director and the other cast same as the previous one.

Zombieland’s stars Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jessie Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin, all will be signing their roles in the sequel.

Also coming back is the original film’s director Ruben Fliescher, who has been recently producing the hit movie Venom.

The two original film’s writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will also be returning to group with other team members. Lately they both have been busy writing for Deadpool and also Deadpool 2.

According to some reports, Zombieland 2 will take the group from ‘’ White House to the American heartland’’ where they will confront new types of zombies that have developed more since the first movie, and also some new human survivors. But mostly, they will have to face the increasing pains of their temporary family.

This is one of the projects that people desired to see occur for a very long time and Emma, Jesse, Woody and Abigail wanted it to happen more than anyone, stated Sanford Panitch, the president of Columbia pictures. Furthermore, he also said that these actors and actresses are mostly in demand.

Wenrick and Reese both had been wanting a sequel since 2016. Despite no comparability from any firm, they went ahead and wrote the script.

The budget of the original Zombieland was approximately $24. It earned a total of $75 million in home and grossed $102.3 million internationally.

When Sony pictures was asked about the budget of Zombieland 2, they didn’t make any comment about it but it is certainly going to be more than the first movie.

Zombieland 2 will be hitting the theatres most probably in October next year, a decade after the first movie.
