Sridevi’s Death Appears Bollywood Lost Legendry Star

Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan known by her stage name Sridevi, left uncounted fans sorrowful by saying them good-bye forever. However, her death is believed to be great loss for the Hindi film industry because she had created history by performing toughest characters in so many films.


The 54-years-old actress is best known for her striking dance sequences, comedic facial expressions and versatility, while she had worked so many films though her acting in films such as Himmatwala, Nagina,

India, Chandni, Khuda Gawah, Lamhe, ChaalBaaz, Gumrah, Waqt Ki Awaz, Judaai and last Mom will be remembered forever.

Although her film career contained five decades, while entered in films since her childhood as she was first seen as child star at age of 4, though after turning 13, came out performing adult roles.

Sridevi is step mother of Arjun Kapoor, worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam before becoming part of the Hindi film industry.

She made her Hindi debut with 1979 drama film Solva Sawan, the film remained successful to gain attention of all, hence next signed for the 1983 production Himmatwala that also liked a lot.

After long time, she moved back big screens by playing main role in successful comedy-drama English Vinglish in 2012 and here completes 300 films as signed the 2017 thriller Mom, for this performance earned massive popularity worldwide.

Sridevi got married to the film producer Boney Kapoor in 1996, while both welcomed two children. She was discovered dead in a hotel bathtub on 24 February 2018.

In Dubai to attend her husband Boney Kapoor’s nephew’s marriage, although autopsy report declared that her death occurred accidentally drowning in bathtub.

Sridevi was awarded with the Padma Shri in 2013 by the Government of India, emerged as fourth highest civilian of nation tribute for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
